Mustard Bags

THE LOOK

Style Notes

KEY PIECES

If you want a bag that will go with every colour, but don’t want to play it safe with neutrals, mustard is the colour to go for.

It happens to be one of the trendiest colours this season (Pantone call it Safron), but this is a colour that will serve you for years to come.

If you were looking to add an investment bag to your wardrobe, this is definitely a colour to consider.

I’ve done a little edit of potential options for you below, but because it is a popular colour this season, there will be a good selection of options in many brands.

STYLING IDEAS

There are a few different shades of yellow that can be very versatile – from pumpkin to butter yellow.

Just make sure to avoid strong saturated acid yellows – they won’t have the same versatility.

Safron is incredibly functional – I’ve added a bag in a deep shade of safron to a selection of looks below and you can see that it goes with virtually every colour!

The colour will work best in a smart casual wardrobe and will brighten up darks as well as jazz up neutrals.

It also co-ordinates really well with all bright colours.

DECIDING IF THIS IS RIGHT FOR YOU

Mustard can be a tricky colour to wear in clothes as it is so bright. But in small amounts it works so well!

Having it in a bag will work for everyone regardless of your colouring (if that is something you are concious about).
